He had preplanned to worship with this song at our church on his way back to his home state. He ran in late, barefooted, and drenched from his motorcycle ride downpour. Tears streamed down his face. He stopped and shared in the middle that his fiance had just broken up with him before he left the youth camp where he had been sharing, and he had driven long and hard to reach our church on time. God's timing. We prayed for him and for his fiance, and the words to When God Ran ministered to him as he continued with the rest of the song, strong and determined to follow God's path for him.

The song came to me before I saw you had posted it. God waits for us with expectancy. Open your arms to Him.

Luke 15

20 “So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.

31 “His father said to him, ‘Look, dear son, you have always stayed by me, and everything I have is yours."

He celebrates each of us! How many times have they strayed and done stupid stuff? And, how many times have I welcomed them back with open arms? That feels so wonderful when they come back around and apologize. It gives me a greater appreciation of how God welcomes us back each time we stray. It is that never-ending love that is so engrained in us as parents that forgives over and over.Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06596653591301276543noreply@blogger.com
