26 It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, 28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
The one that is worthy to be praised came to serve us. WoW
My Bible 360 is not reading the entire Bible in a year but for an entire year reading the Bible.

13 At this, some of Jesus’ followers brought their children before Jesus; they wanted Him to place His hands on the children and pray for them. Some of the disciples, mistakenly thinking that Jesus wouldn’t want to be bothered with the likes of children, began to rebuke the crowd.
Jesus: 14 Let the little children come to Me; do not get in their way. For the kingdom of heaven belongs to children like these. 15 He laid His hands on them, He prayed with them, and then He left that spot and went elsewhere. 16 Then a young man came up to Jesus.
Children are important to God.

21 Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.
God's timing is amazing! Sunday morning someone close to me said some things about me to others that really hurt. And here I read about forgiving this hurt it's nothing compared to what I've been forgiven.

27 But You are the same, You will never change; Your years will never come to an end.
28 The children of those who serve You will enjoy a good, long life; their offspring will stand strong before You.

4 Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”
5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
When I get to heaven, I want to ask Peter what this event was like. It had to be so overwhelming and exciting and scary all at the same time. I wonder how did they know it was Moses and Elijah?

24 (to His disciples) If you want to follow Me, you must deny yourself the things you think you want. You must pick up your cross and follow Me.
25 The person who wants to save his life must lose it, and she who loses her life for Me will find it.
26 Look, does it make sense to truly become successful, but then to hand over your very soul? What is your soul really worth?
(The Voice)
Matthew gives us yet another great reminder of how we need to view our lives and what's important.
