I love how Paul concludes his letters. I also love the fact that Paul mentions women in his closing as a deacon (Phoebe) and co-ministers (Priscilla).
I think the charge in verse 17 is important today as well. We have to be on our guard for those who try to create division in our churches.
Tomorrow we start 1 Corinthians.

The warning to avoid those who sow discord struck me too--that's a warning for the church in all time periods, isn't it?

ReplyDelete17 Brothers and sisters, I urge you to watch out for those people who create divisions and who make others fall away from the Christian faith by teaching doctrine that is not the same as you have learned. Stay away from them.
Gossip and grumbling, negativity. Idle talk. "This is a prayer request." So important to be cautious.
25-26 God can strengthen you by the Good News and the message I tell about Jesus Christ. He can strengthen you by revealing the mystery that was kept in silence for a very long time but now is publicly known.
