I think my favorite section of this passage is verse 29 - Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
We haven't seen Jesus the way the disciples did but that we have the scriptures as John wrote in verse 31 "but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."
We have scripture to teach us about Jesus so we can believe.
" 17 Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'""
ReplyDeleteI like this passage because Jesus says that His father is our father and His God is our God. This is a reminder that part of His mission here on earth was to show us how to relate to the Father.
John 20
ReplyDelete9 They didn’t know yet what Scripture meant when it said that Jesus had to come back to life.
