Day 190, July 9 - Romans 15

You may notice that I'm using www.biblegateway.com for today's reading. I realized tonight they now have the English Standard Version available as well as The Voice. (I also included NIV because many people like it as well.) You can read the scripture in the version you prefer!!

5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6 that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
12 And again Isaiah says, “The root of Jesse will come, even he who arises to rule the Gentiles; in him will the Gentiles hope.” 13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

1 comment:

  1. Romans 15
4 Everything written long ago was written to teach us so that we would have confidence through the endurance and encouragement which the Scriptures give us.

13 May God, the source of hope, fill you with joy and peace through your faith in him. Then you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

20-21 My goal was to spread the Good News where the name of Christ was not known. I didn’t want to build on a foundation which others had laid. As Scripture says, “Those who were never told about him will see, and those who never heard will understand.”
