Questions to Ask

My Pastor shared this with our Sunday School class a few years ago, I just recently came across the questions in the front of one of my Bibles.  You can use one or more of these questions as you study any passage of the Bible.

As you read a passage consider the following questions:

1. What does the passage say about the nature of God?
2. What does the passage tell you about the nature of people?
3. What insight does this passage give us in the understanding of sin?
4. What does this passage teach us about salvation?
5. What insights does this passage give us about the purpose of and nature of the church?
6. What insight does the passage give in relationship between the church and secular powers?
7. How should we respond to what God’s word has taught us?
