January 20 - Luke 14

Sorry I missed yesterday, the day got away from me...

But I'm back with today's reading...

Some aspects of this chapter remind me of how good God is and Jesus' love for the down trodden.

Other parts of it are confusing to me, but one thing that is clear as day:

34 Don’t be like salt that has lost its taste. How can its saltiness be restored? Flavorless salt is absolutely worthless. 35 You can’t even use it as fertilizer, so it’s worth less than manure! Don’t just listen to My words here. Get the deeper meaning.

I don't want to be more worthless than manure.
