Nov 7, Day 310 - 2 Peter 3

Click here to go to 2 Peter 3

But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

God wants all of us to come to Him... but he will eventually judge all
10 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.

We need to be ready!

  1. 14 And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.

:-) I'm glad we God has been so patient.

  2. 2 Peter 3
3a First, you must understand this: In the last days people who follow their own desires will appear.

8-9 Dear friends, don’t ignore this fact: One day with the Lord is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.
The Lord isn’t slow to do what he promised, as some people think. Rather, he is patient for your sake. He doesn’t want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to him and change the way they think and act.

13 But we look forward to what God has promised—a new heaven and a new earth—a place where everything that has God’s approval lives.

17-18 Dear friends, you already know these things. So be on your guard not to be carried away by the deception of people who have no principles. Then you won’t fall from your firm position. But grow in the good will and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Glory belongs to him now and for that eternal day! Amen.
