August 13, Day 226 - Galatians 6

Click here to go to Galatians 6

15 It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation. 16 May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God.

The big topic in Paul's day was the issue of circumcision. Many of the leaders in churches wanted to hold on to that law, yet Paul reminds them it's not that important, what is important is that they had been transformed into a new creation. It's the same today in many churches that hold on to tradition. When it's a life that is transformed into a new creation. Thank you for God's peace and mercy!!

  1. I belong to a very small church, and it's often discouraging to have all these big ideas, but without the manpower to make them happen. So verse 9 jumped out at me today:

9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

I think we all get weary. Love this reminder that it takes perseverance to see results.

  2. Galatians 6
    5 Assume your own responsibility.

14b By his cross my relationship to the world and its relationship to me have been crucified.

7-8 Make no mistake about this: You can never make a fool out of God. Whatever you plant is what you’ll harvest.

If you plant in the soil
    of your corrupt nature,
    you will harvest destruction.

But if you plant in the soil
    of your spiritual nature,
    you will harvest everlasting life.

  3. "9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. 10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith."

Love this message! Life goes so much better when I remember this.
