August 23, Day 236 - Philippians 2

Click here to go to Philippians 2

There is so much in this chapter and it's hard for me to even know where to start, so I'll just share:

14 Do everything without complaining and arguing, 15 so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

 With the work load coming the next two weeks for me I need to remember this one.

  1. "5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

    6 Though he was God,
    he did not think of equality with God
    as something to cling to.
    7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
    he took the humble position of a slave
    and was born as a human being.
    When he appeared in human form,
    8 he humbled himself in obedience to God
    and died a criminal’s death on a cross."

    We are called to have that same attitude. That is what it is to walk with Christ. It seems like such a tall order! But, as Jesus himself said: Matthew 5:5 "God blesses those who are humble,
    for they will inherit the whole earth."

  2. Philippians 2
    9-11 This is why God has given him an exceptional honor—the name honored above all other names—so that at the name of Jesus everyone in heaven, on earth, and in the world below will kneel and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
