From Psalm 28
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. 8 The LORD is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed.
From Psalm 29
1 A psalm of David. Give honor to the LORD, you angels; give honor to the LORD for his glory and strength. 2 Give honor to the LORD for the glory of his name. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness. (NLT)
Psalm 28
ReplyDelete7-9 The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusted him, so I received help. My heart is triumphant; I give thanks to him with my song. The Lord is the strength of his people and a fortress for the victory of his Messiah. Save your people, and bless those who belong to you. Be their shepherd, and carry them forever. A psalm by David.
I love this; especially vs. 9b, "Be their shepherd, and carry them forever." Reminds me of when I was in 8th grade Spanish class and memorized, "El Señor es mi Pastor; nada me faltará...." The Lord is my Shepherd, I will lack nothing! ~*~ in public school ~*~ in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Psalm 29
2-5 Give to the Lord the glory his name deserves. Worship the Lord in his holy splendor. The voice of the Lord rolls over the water. The God of glory thunders. The Lord shouts over raging water. The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is majestic.
The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars. The Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.
9-11 The voice of the Lord splits the oaks and strips the trees of the forests bare. Everyone in his temple is saying, “Glory!” The Lord sat enthroned over the flood. The Lord sits enthroned as king forever. The Lord will give power to his people. The Lord will bless his people with peace. A psalm by David sung at the dedication of the temple.
