April 19, Day 110 - Luke 21

Click here to go to Luke 21

The part of this passage that jumped out to me today was verses 14 and 15:
14 So don’t worry in advance about how to answer the charges against you, 15 for I will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply or refute you!
One of my greatest fears is I won't "stand the test" but here Jesus promises that when the time comes He will give me the right words.

I have to trust that.

  1. That didn't jump out at me while reading, so thanks for drawing my attention to it, Holly! What wonderful encouragement.

  2. Luke 21
22b Everything that is written about it will come true.
28 “When these things begin to happen, stand with confidence! The time when you will be set free is near.”

    Mark 13
    New Living Translation
11 But when you are arrested and stand trial, don’t worry in advance about what to say. Just say what God tells you at that time, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

  3. Yes. God takes care of us everyday, so surely, we will be taken care of when we have to stand trial.

And, how often do we stand trial? I think of how often I have to ask for the right words to say. It happens all the time. We just might not recognize it as such because we are not actually standing in a court.
