June 15, Day 167 - Romans 10

Click here to go to Romans 10

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”[e] 12 Jew and Gentile[f] are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

The core of our salvation, confession and believing.  It makes us right with God regardless of our background/heritage.  It's so good! But Paul goes on to give us this reminder, it's important that people hear about Jesus.

14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

  1. Romans 10
1-4 Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved. I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal. For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law. For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.

Thank You, Lord, that You have provided a better way than the traditions of men. That You are not way off there somewhere, but You live in our hearts. How you love us with Your unfailing love. You have made the way clear.

Acts 16. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved... Thank You that as we come before You, You hear us.

John 16. Thank you Holy Spirit that You convict us of sin by the law that was given. Thank You Jesus that You died for our sins. It is finished. They are nailed to the Cross. They are already there.

    Revelation 3
20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

You are waiting for us to receive You as our Lord and Savior.

    Colossians 2
13-14 You were once dead because of your failures and your uncircumcised corrupt nature. But God made you alive with Christ when he forgave all our failures. He did this by erasing the charges that were brought against us by the written laws God had established. He took the charges away by nailing them to the cross.

With the chasm breached between God and man, how good You are to man, bringing us back into right relationship with You. The provision has been made to receive You. Glory to Your Name forever and ever. All we need do is say, "Yes, Lord, I receive You," ask forgiveness and turn from my sin. He will help us in our weakness. He Is Lord.
