June 10, Day 162 - Psalm 66

Click here to go to Psalm 66

I love how the Psalm recounts some of Israel's history along with the command to praise. It's a reminder that we too need to remember the things that God has done for us and and PRAISE HIM!

The ending of this chapter is also very exciting for me:
16 Come and listen, all you who fear God,
and I will tell you what he did for me.
17 For I cried out to him for help,
    praising him as I spoke.
18 If I had not confessed the sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened.
19 But God did listen!
He paid attention to my prayer.
20 Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer
or withdraw his unfailing love from me.

But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer. Why? I think we can assume because he confessed the sin in his heart.
God is so good!

  1. Psalm 66
16 Come and listen, all who fear God, and I will tell you what He has done for me.

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." - Revelation 12:11

Jesus said, "I tell you most solemnly that anyone who chooses a life of sin is trapped in a dead-end life and is, in fact, a slave. A slave is a transient, who can't come and go at will. The Son, though, has an established position, the run of the house. So if the Son sets you free, you are free through and through." John 8:34-36
