Day 66 - Mark 5

Click here to go to Mark 5

"Who touched me?" I love this story. Even though Jesus was surrounded on all sides by people, He knew when the woman touched Him in faith, believing that's all it would take for her to be healed.   I admire the woman's faith.  I have the New Testament and all the stories of what Jesus did and Hebrews 13:8 that reminds us that He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. So why do I struggle?

Then again, that's why we are reading God's Word to renew our minds to strengthen our faith.

There are lots of good stuff here the story of the pigs is another favorite.

  1. Mark 5
19b-20 “'Go home to your family, and tell them how much the Lord has done for you and how merciful He has been to you.' So the man left. He began to tell how much Jesus had done for him in the Ten Cities.”
First evangelist! Face-to-Face encounter in his right mind!
When Jesus has done something for you and the Holy Spirit has revealed Truth, you know it!

32-33 “But he kept looking around to see the woman who had done this. The woman trembled with fear. She knew what had happened to her. So she quickly bowed in front of him and told him the whole truth.”
He knew her. He waited for her.
She spoke to Him of her awareness of what she had received!

40b “Then he took the child’s father, mother, and his three disciples and went to the child.”
He comes up close to those involved.
Beyond the crowd, He sees each of us individually!

  2. I often wonder why Jesus asked everyone to keep silent about the healing.
