As I read the story of how Jesus was rejected in his home town, I wonder if that ever changed. We know James had a change of heart and was very active in the early church, but I wanted if the others ever recognized who Jesus truly was/is.
But as I read the rest of the chapter what an adventure for the disciples. They go out 2 by 2 and perform miracles, they see see the feeding of 5,000 (of course they didn't understand the importance) and to see Jesus walking on the water and calming a storm. I can't imagine what it must have been like. It's weird to me how the disciples never quite understood why Jesus was there and what his purpose was.

Thank you for your prayers during this time as my husband's brother is dying. He has been moved from the hospital to hospice. The doctors have projected medically two weeks to live as his organs are shutting down.
We can continue to lift up Lane and her husband during this time.

Having a place to call your own to relax and know you are welcome whenever you come.
When we began our remodel, we wanted a quiet place away for those visiting to feel accepted as part of our home and not feeling they need to entertain or be entertained. Our upstairs was rebuilt with a sitting area in an attic room (when I go up there to read in a comfy recliner, I fall asleep within the first couple pages), the sleeping area with a King-sized bed (donned with my very first start-to-finish ***star*** quilt!--we since have purchased a queen-sized bed for our downstairs bedroom with my quilting in mind, lol), and an ample bathroom, previously a small bedroom, with a claw foot tub, overlooks our bird feeder we enjoy so much in the back of our house. We want our guests to feel welcome in the kitchen and be at home.
