July 14, Day 196 Psalm 89

Click here to go to Psalm 89

This is an interesting Psalm in that it starts with the author declaring how he will sing of God's faithfulness. Moves on to talk about how God is faithful then ends with the author questioning God.  But I guess that is human nature, I've been there.  One moment I'm praising God and then the next I'm questioning where God is.  So like the author we have our ups and our downs, but one thing is certain, God is faithful!

Be blessed!

  1. 46 O Lord, how long will this go on?
    Will you hide yourself forever?
How long will your anger burn like fire?
47 Remember how short my life is,
how empty and futile this human existence!
48 No one can live forever; all will die.
No one can escape the power of the grave.

    -----------
That sounds like a great prelude to the New Testament because we now know that we CAN escape the power of the grave.

  2. Psalm 89
1b I will tell about your faithfulness to every generation.

    children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren

God's mercy and faithfulness stands forever.
Praise Him. Walk in the light of His presence.

16-17 They find joy in Your Name all day long. They are joyful in Your righteousness because You are the glory of their strength. By Your favor You give us victory.

    Acts 17
28 'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'
