July 21, Day 203 - Psalm 90

Click here to go to Psalm 90

This Psalm brings a lot of emotion out in me. Verses 1 and 2 give such hope God has always been my home.

But thinking about some of the things Lane has shared in loosing her son, Sharon loosing her friend, we've all lost people close to use unexpectedly and verse 12 is so true.

The writer (believed to be Moses) ends the Psalm with
And may the Lord our God show us his approval
    and make our efforts successful.
    Yes, make our efforts successful!

When you think about the journey Moses made with the children of Israel I can only imagine how hard he prayed that.  Looking at the whole Psalm you can get an idea of how he must have felt as he lead those 40 years.

Be blessed!

  1. Psalm 90
4 Indeed, in your sight a thousand years are like a single day, like yesterday—already past—like an hour in the night.

16 Let us, Your servants, see what You can do. Let our children see Your glorious power.

    Psalm 118
5 In my anguish I cried to the LORD, and He answered by setting me free.

    Jeremiah 10
6 LORD, there is no one like You! For You are great, and Your Name is full of power.

  2. I read chapters like this in the Old Testament and I just thank God that I was given life on this earth AFTER Jesus came. He brought hope and salvation. He saved us from all of these things Moses talks about in this chapter. I know that my mother and my friend Susie are living on in heaven. That brings me such comfort when I am missing them. If I had been born before Jesus had come, who knows the sorrow and turmoil I would be going through? I am so blessed and thankful that I was born into a world that already has the Light.
